Who is Holy like the LORD
Who is holy like the LORD God Almighty?
Enthroned in heaven are You, O Most High,
The LORD of hosts, who inhabits eternity.
You, Lord, dwell in unapproachable light.
Above the cherubim rests Your throne, O King!
Your praise only, day and night, they sing,
Standing in awe of Your glorious might!
You are infinitely holy, O Creator of all things!
Yours are purity, transcendence, and otherness.
Who, LORD, can endure the strength of Your light?
Who does not tremble greatly at Your sight?
Awe-inspiring, O Lord, is Your absolute holiness.
The seraphim dare not look upon Your brightness;
All-consuming is Your holiness, O King of kings!
You have arrayed them with three pairs of wings;
They shield their faces before Your Shekinah glory,
And humbly cover their feet before Your Majesty—
You who alone have life and immortality,
And define, O God, their position of authority!
Who would not bend before Your greatness, O LORD?
You are clothed with honor and resplendent beauty!
You send forth Your Word like a flashing sword.
Like fire You consume those whose heart is askew;
Like wax they melt before You, with none to rescue.
Purify us, O God, from everything profane;
Teach us, O Holy One, to fear Your holy name.
In Your kindness lead us by the right path,
Lest in Your day, O Righteous One, we be put to shame.
For who can stand the fire of Your holy wrath?
Ruined is he who has not received the purifying bath!
Let Your brightness, O Holy One, swallow up the gloom!
We are all clothed with filth, even from the womb.
In Your mercy, sanctify us by the light of Your face,
Lest we be found wanting and inherit doom,
When You, O Majestic One, come in Your Kingdom.
Save us from folly; make us abide in Your Wisdom.
We turn to You, Lord, who alone can remove our alloy
And, in Your love, restore us to the river of Your joy.
For all-purifying is Your holiness, O God of grace!
You, O LORD, the Holy One, are the shield of our help!
By Your great might, those who trust in You are kept.
Who is like the LORD our God, merciful and holy?
The glorious sword of our triumph, our salvation is He.
Glory be to our King—He has clothed us with beauty!
